The change management process is responsible for controlling the life cycle of changes. Change management enables beneficial changes to be made, with minimum disruption to IT services.

What is an IT change?

The addition, modification, or removal of anything that could affect IT’s ability to provide service and support.

  • Changes are recorded.
  • Changes are evaluated, authorized, prioritized, planned, tested, implemented, documented, and reviewed in a controlled manner.
